I grew up in Mt. Zion, Illinois and attended church there until we moved to the Hazelwood area in 2017. I made Jesus the Lord of my life when I was 7 years old after attending Vacation Bible School. When I was in high school, I decided that I wanted to pursue a career in education. I graduated from Illinois State University in 2010 with a degree in elementary education. In 2011 I married my amazing husband, Ian. In 2013 we welcomed our first daughter, Emmaline, and in 2015 we had our second daughter, Esther. I currently homeschool our girls and they keep us busy with gymnastics, softball, theater, and lots of other extracurriculars!
In 2013 I started working as a preschool teacher part time and about a year later I was asked to fill the role of Children’s Ministry Director for our church in Illinois. Before joining the staff, I had already served for years as a volunteer in children’s and youth ministries. In 2017 we moved to Missouri and became members of Hazelwood Baptist Church shortly after. I joined the staff at HBC in 2021 as the Children’s Ministry Assistant.
I have a passion for children’s ministry. Getting to teach kids about Jesus and come alongside families as they raise their children is a privilege that I don’t take lightly! I’m so thankful that the Lord has allowed me the opportunity to serve the families of our church and community through this ministry.
