I’ve been following Jesus since April 15, 1973. When I gave my heart to Jesus at age six it was to “get it over with…” It made perfect sense to me that Jesus loved me, gave His life for me and wanted me to live with Him forever. Since that time, it has been a journey of learning His word, growing as His disciple and striving to be a light for Jesus to all those around me. JESUS LOVES YOU! (yep, I’m shouting!)
I really like school and have a handful of degrees, a BA in History & Radio, TV and Film from Mizzou, a master’s in history from UM-St. Louis, and a master’s in Christian education from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. I went to seminary to learn how to separate Southern Baptists from their money for missions…because we’ve got to TELL THE WORLD THAT JESUS LOVES THEM!!! (sorry, shouting again)
I’ve been attending HBC since 2010 and have had the honor of working as the Financial Secretary since September 2023. I also work at a local high school in the athletic office.
In my free time I love traveling, reading, cooking, and Facebook Bingo. Back in the glory days, I had a private pilot’s license and still look longingly skyward on exceptionally clear, blue, sky days. Wouldn’t Orville and Wilbur Wright be amazed at what has happened in the past 100+ years?!
