Craig joined our full time staff in January 2013.As a member of the HBC family, he has been a part of our worship ministry team since 1999 when he served as interim worship leader until 2001 and again from June 2012 until January 2013.
Born in Little Rock, Arkansas, Craig grew up mostly in Texas and in Arkansas where he graduated from college in 1991 with a BA degree in Journalism. It was at Super Summer in 1980; Craig began to feel the call to ministry at the age of 13. Involved in worship ministries from a very early age, he served most of his life as a worship team volunteer and interim worship leader, while serving full time as an officer in the United States Army. In the Global War on Terrorism, he served four overseas tours, serving both in Afghanistan and Iraq where he was awarded three Bronze Stars and the Combat Infantryman’s Badge for his actions during combat operations.
Craig and his wife Candy have been married for 22 years. Candy is an Orientation and Mobility Instructor for the St. Louis Special School District and serves as a Sunday School teacher in the preschool ministry here at HBC. They have one son, Ryan, who is in high school at North County Christian School where he plays on the Varsity Soccer and Golf teams along with playing percussion in the HBC praise team. Craig enjoys sports, music, spending time with his family, and is called to live the call of Acts 1:8.
